Tannat's roots reach through the same French countryside as Yannick's. As one of the Southwest of France's hallmark red beauties, it hails from the Madiran region near the Pyrénées mountains. It was the first red grape varietal with which Yannick made wine as an intern winemaker at Chateau Montus and Chateau Bouscassé, the top wine estates of Tannat and the Madiran appellation.

Milady 2010 reveals a charming, and complex nose with subtle aromas of white peach, jasmine, lychee and crème brûlée. While offering finesse and balanced acidity, the wine is textured and rich from its aging on lees. Milady 2010 is a harmonious beauty that represents the quintessence of Mount Veeder fruit combined with Yannick's burgundian approach to Chardonnay winemaking.

Sourced from a 40 year old vineyard planted with old wente clone, we decided to intervene as little as possible in the winemaking process. The oak takes a back seat in this wine. Our intention is to let the wine reveal it’s bright fruit and let the terroir sing!

Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Le Roi Soleil is a truly beautiful example of what Cabernet should be on Mount Veeder! It's seductively rich in blackberries and black currants, with a firm minerality. The wine is powerful yet elegant and has a superb, tannin-based structure. It should develop over the next decade, maybe even longer, but this Cabernet has been crafted for enjoyment and celebration in the present. Decanting is recommended 30 minutes to 1 hour before drinking.

The Renaissance of Colombard! Colombard is a variety originally from the South-West of France where it has been grown for hundreds of years. Yannick made his first Colombard in 1996 in the heart of Gascony. The grapes for Y Rousseau Old Vines Colombard come from the last Colombard vines planted in the Russian River Valley. Yannick chose to make this wine because of its unique character and to bring a slice of Gascony to American wine lovers.
